Volvo Oil Changes in Tacoma
Our Oil Change is Superior
Not only is oil truly the “life blood” of your car, but Volvos have other oil-related needs you may never have heard about, especially if you’ve been going to a “quick” lube/oil change kind of place.
Common Volvo OiL Issues
Issue | Explanation |
---|---|
Inexpensive, low-quality Oil Filter installed | Cheap oil filters often collapse and compress as oil pumps through them, causing loss of oil pressure, which can cause your engine to seize |
Inexpensive, low-quality Oil used | Cheap oil loses viscosity faster – thins out, gets dirty faster, doesn’t lubricate the engine properly |
Drain Plug Washer not replaced during Oil Change | This small but important detail is often overlooked and causes oil to seep out if not replaced each and every time the oil is changed |
Positive Crankcase Ventilation System clogs | More frequent oil changes can extend the life of your PCV system |

“People may think our full-service oil change is more expensive than the quick lube places, but that’s not usually the case”
– Jim
How Often Should I Change The Oil in my Volvo?
We could discuss and debate this for days, but it boils down to this:
Economical OIL CHANGE $ vs Costly NEW ENGINE $$$$
We recommend an oil change every 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first.
